[Albuquerque, NM] – The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, a non-profit, congressionally chartered Smithsonian Affiliate, announced Kristel Gordon's appointment to its Board of Trustees.
Kristel is strongly committed to advancing national security and technology innovation. She currently serves as Director of Strategic Development at General Atomics, supporting the National Security Enterprise and the stockpile stewardship mission, focusing on ensuring the U.S. nuclear deterrent's safety, security, and reliability. This entails managing advanced manufacturing processes, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and collaborating with government agencies, national laboratories, and industry partners to produce high-precision components that meet stringent quality and performance standards.

"Kristel’s leadership experience, extensive knowledge of nuclear security, and dedication to preserving nuclear science and history will be invaluable to the museum.”

Gordon graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering and is near the completion of an MBA from Johns Hopkins University
Gordon is married to Alec and is the mother of Skye and Brodie.
