Photography Night at the National Museum of Science & History to Host an Exploration of Nuclear Science and History through the Lens of Local Photographers

[Albuquerque, NM] – Photographers of all ages and skill levels are invited to The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5:30-8:30 pm to photograph captivating images of the Museum in the evening.

The evening will feature special photography lectures, food trucks, and Bombs Away Beer Company, along with full access to the Museum’s exhibit area, including the nine-acre Heritage Park, which features stunning aircraft. The cost is $15.00 per person. Photographers attending the event can submit up to three photos to the Museum calendar contest. The 2024 Museum calendar will feature 14 images from the Photography Night event.

The museum, both inside and outside, provides a visually stunning setting for photographers, both seasoned and those just beginning their photographic journey, to capture nuclear science and history in their images,” said Jennifer Hayden, President & CEO of the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. “Photography Night at the Museum celebrates the talent of local photographers who are invited to capture the beauty of the museum and the innovations and historical significance of nuclear science.”

From all photos submitted from the Photography Night at the Museum, a panel of museum judges will choose 20 images to share on the Museum’s Facebook/Meta page. Fourteen photos with the most votes on Facebook/Meta will be selected for inclusion in the 2024 Museum calendar.
