      Science is Everywhere Day Camps | National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

      Program Overview: Our Science is Everywhere Camps are designed for curious minds in grades K-6. We offer hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities through single-day, collaborative sessions.

      Quick Facts & Logistics

      • Grade Levels: Kindergarten – 6th Grade
      • Camp Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
      • Extended Care: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm (Included at no extra cost)
      • Cost: $85.00 per single-day session
      • Location: National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

      Daily Requirements for Campers

      To ensure a great experience, please provide your child with the following daily:

      1. Lunch: One full meal.
      2. Snacks: Two healthy snacks.
      3. Hydration: One refillable water bottle.

      Note: Please ensure children are picked up by 5:30 pm to avoid late fees.

      Financial Aid Camp Scholarship
      A limited number of scholarships are available for our camps to assist families with financial need. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last. If you are interested in applying, please complete the financial aid application form. Applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours.

      Spring Break – Travel back in time to walk with the giants of Earth’s past! Campers will dig into fossils, piece together prehistoric puzzles, and uncover the science of dinosaurs. Ancient adventures await as we explore the world before humans.

      Physics Phundamentals

      Spring Break – Physics Phundamentals introduces campers to the core principles that explain how the world moves and works. Students explore forces, motion, and energy through active experimentation and playful challenges. This fast-paced day encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and hands-on discovery as campers experience physics in action.

      Spring Break – Food of the Future: What will we eat in 50 years? Campers will step into the kitchens and laboratories of tomorrow to grow plants without soil, design sustainable food systems, and even imagine new recipes. From hydroponics to lab-grown burgers, the future of food is in their hands.

      Spring Break – Seismic Science explores the powerful forces that shape Earth’s surface. Campers investigate movement within the planet, how landforms change, and how scientists study these processes. Through models, experiments, and design challenges, students develop an understanding of Earth’s dynamic systems while practicing creative thinking and resilience.

      Friday, April 3

      No screens? No problem! This camp turns coding into a hands-on adventure. Campers learn how computers think by acting out instructions, solving logic puzzles, and building programs with their bodies and brains. From loops to conditionals, this playful camp makes big coding ideas easy, active, and fun.
